At InvestOps Connect Europe, we spoke to Remy Terki, Sales Director at Amundi Technology, to learn why they sponsored the event for the first time
Remy: I attended last year with a different company and requested that we sponsor this year. Last year was a definite success, very insightful, and there were lots of interesting conversations. What I particularly like about this format is the privacy and intimate aspect you have with the delegates. People attending are here, are open to conversation, and are willing to talk, which you don’t necessarily get at larger-scale events. You can have conversations, dig deeper, spend time with people, and have quality time.
Remy: The selection of delegates and speakers are very high-profile, high-level, and extremely insightful people. Because of the size of the event, in the breakout sessions, you can dive deeper into conversations with these delegates, find solutions, brainstorm, and have more interactions.
The networking opportunities are a nice time for people to have relaxed conversations, as they’re keen to talk, as opposed to a busy event where you have to grab people yourself.
Remy: We’ve had ten organised by the event team and a few more relaxed meetings of our own in the networking opportunities. We’re currently looking at a follow-up rate of around 40%, which is huge, as it can take up to a year to meet these people normally. The attendee profiling information helped us massively plan our meetings. Some of the delegates were extremely precise and specific in their investment priorities, which was great.
Remy: We are already in touch with WBR regarding the next large-scale events, but this one is new to the company. I will make sure I put in a good word and do my best for us to sponsor again next year.
